Designed by Martha Clippinger, these objects are woven and made by Licha González Ruiz and Agustín Contreras López of Teotitlán del Valle, Oaxaca, Mexico.
Tapetes bags that are “envelope style” have a thin profile that works well as a purse but is also great for carrying laptops. “Flat base” styles have tapered bottoms that create slightly more volume in their interiors and make a great tote for all your carrying needs.

These hand dyed and woven wool bags have zipper closures, fully lined interiors, and two inner pockets, one with a zipper.
Each bag is unique but measures approximately 12” x 16”. The leather strap is 3/4” wide and has an 10 1/2” drop.
