Designed by Martha Clippinger, these objects are woven and made by Licha González Ruiz and Agustín Contreras López of Teotitlán del Valle, Oaxaca, Mexico.
Tapetes bags that are “envelope style” have a thin profile that works well as a purse but is also great for carrying laptops. “Flat base” styles have tapered bottoms that create slightly more volume in their interiors and make a great tote for all your carrying needs.

This 35” poly chiffon square scarf was made in collaboration with the North Carolina Museum of Art. The image is a detail of the mural “Vibrating Boundaries” that was on view at the museum from 2024-2025.
